Chophaus launches new menu and dining terrace

Chophaus, a bar and grill restaurant in Oakwood, north Leeds, has added a new 80-cover outdoor heated dining terrace to its site.

The operator has also collaborated with award-winning chef Lee Murdoch on new menus in time for its al fresco reopening on 12 April.

Murdoch - who has previously worked with D&D's Crafthouse and Angelica in Yorkshire - has created a new terrace menu that takes inspiration from around the world.

Light dishes include truffle puffs with black garlic sauce and smoked sea salt, and fior fries with aged parmigiana; while raw and sushi dishes include salmon tartar tacos with grapefruit and a lime crème fraiche; California crab rolls; spicy tuna gunmaki; and Kumamoto oysters with yuzu and galea apple.

Other seafood dishes include sauteed king prawn with chipotle and mango olive oil; and miso wild bass with sake, mirin, and ginger. The 'signature and charcoal' menu includes Highland Wagyu ribeye, grilled native lobster with yuzu, shallot and seaweed; and Korean chicken sliders with pickled kohlrabi, fior sauce and a sesame milk bun.

Guests can also order desserts including moji by Murdoch with honeycomb, raspberry, and milk chocolate; coconut edible with mango sorbet and tropical salsa; and a foie gras Crumpet with manuka honey and pink pepper.

A selection of cocktails have been created, designed to complement the dishes.

The team will be running a pop-up barbecue this coming Easter weekend, starting on Good Friday from 12pm.
