Pizza Pilgrims open new Waterloo site

Pizza Pilgrims has opened its latest central London site in Waterloo, located on 82 Lower Marsh.

The 120-cover pizzeria is serving the brand's signature Neapolitan pizzas, with both indoor and al-fresco seating available for bookings and walk-ins.

The Lower Marsh site features a unique restaurant front, painted in the colours of the Italian flag, and the three different logos on each section is a nod to Pizza Pilgrim’s 10-year journey to date.

The red window dates back to the very first pizza served from owning brothers Thom and James Elliot's Soho Tuk Tuk in 2011, with the green window representing their first bricks and mortar restaurant, and finally the central white window is the Pizza Pilgrims in its current format.

Highlights on the Waterloo menu include Mama’s Boy Meatballs with beef and sausage meatballs baked with tomato, basil, topped with fresh parsley; Salsiccia e Friarielli with roasted Italian sausage and wild broccoletti on an olive oil base with smoked mozzarella, parmesan and fresh chilli; and the sweet Nutellamisu: house tiramisu loaded with Nutella, served straight back in the Nutella jar.

For the first time ever, all Pizza Pilgrims’ pizzerias will be serving gluten-free base options as well as halal alternatives, available on each of their classic Neapolitan pizzas.

From Monday 24 May, guests will also be able to choose a vegan alternative with the launch of their house-made vegan mozzarella.
