Retro ramen bar Heddon Yokocho to open in London's West End

Heddon Yokocho will its new Panton Street site in London's Westend this November, offering regional ramen dishes from the cold island of northern Japan to the tropical climate of the south.

The 5,800 sq ft Panton Yokocho branch covers 120, with décor transporting guests to Tokyo's iconic 1970s Yokocho 'alleyways'. 

Menu offerings include speciality bowls with various types of broth and noodle – including udon and soba – from across Japan, with dishes starting from £11.90. The famous Tonkotsu Ramen will be available, alongside specialities such as Sapporo Miso, a miso-based chicken and pork broth ramen; and Hakodate Shio, a salt and miso-based broth ramen. There's also the signature Yokocho ramen, a soy-based chicken and pork broth ramen with topped with menma bamboo shoots, naruto fish cake, whole nitamago egg and nori seaweed. 

Vegan options include the Vegan Napoli, a tomoato-based ramen with grilled tomato and mushroom topped with basil and vegan cheese. 

The restaurant is currently preparing to open on 11 November.
