The Restaurant Group announces Ken Hanna as new chairman

The Restaurant Group plc (TRG) has announced Ken Hanna as its new chairman, following the previous announcement that Debbie Hewitt MBE would be stepping down from the role in June this year. 

Mr Hanna joins the TRG Board as a non-executive director on 1 December, with his role of chairman commencing on 1 January 2022. 

Hanna is an experienced chair with a wealth of business experience already under his belt. His executive career includes roles such as CFO of Avis Europe plc, CFO of United Distillers plc, CFO of Sygen International plc, CFO and CEO of Dalgety plc and CFO of Cadbury plc; while his non-executive positions include non-executive director of Tesco plc, and chairman of Inchcape plc, Shooting Star Chase, Aggreko plc and RMD Kwikform. He is also currently chairman of Arena Events Group.

TRG operates around 400 restaurants and pubs across the UK, including brands such as Wagamama, Frankie & Benny's and Brunning & Price.
