Duck & Waffle secures location for Scotland debut

Next year will see Duck & Waffle open its debut restaurant in Scotland, offering its playful take on British and European cuisine from a new site in St James Quarter.

The brand has secured a prominent reputation from existing venues in Hong Kong and London – where it operates the tallest 24-hour restaurant in the UK capital. The new all-day 8,400 sq ft restaurant will open on level 4 of the shopping centre, including a terrace that overlooks the Register Square entance to the quarter.

Duck & Waffle Edinburgh will deliver a menu that emphasizes local, rustic, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, with dishes designed for sharing and sampling.

Shimon Bokovza, managing partner and brand visionary of Duck & Waffle commented: “Duck & Waffle was born in London and we’re proud to spread our wings to Edinburgh’s anticipated St James Quarter as we expand globally. We’re eager to participate in the city’s love for culture and the arts through our own contribution of culinary creativity and epicurean community.”

The brand will join the likes of SUSHISAMBA, Bonnie & Wild, Ka Pao, Black Sheep, Bross Bagels, Salerno Pizza, Wingstop, Thai Express Kitchen and Pho as St James Quarter continues to strengthen its range of dining options.
