New London food festival kicks off this week

Savour London Food Festival launches this week (30 and 31 July), showcasing some of the UK's most popular restaurants and bars in the Royal Hospital Chelsea gardens. 

Renowned eateries such as Covent Garden's Frenchie will feature alongside Polpo Restaurants, also joined by Steak and Company, Otto and the award-winning Chicken George, offering delegates an eclectic culinary experience. 

Mob kitchen will be giving guests a taste of an exclusive vegetarian menu, with legendary masters and up-and-comers from some of the city's five-star dining brands creating never-before tasted dishes live on stage. From Venetian-style sharing plates to Temaki's traditionally crafted sushi rolls and Legare's authentic, hand-made pasta, the festival will offer a melting pot of some of the world's finest cuisines. 

Alongside the brand-new menus, Savour has challenged chefs to create a £3 signature dish, giving festival goers the chance to vote for their favourite throughout the weekend. The winner will be crowned the very first Savour Signature champion. 

Exclusive wine tastings will be hosted by Vinoteca, as well as a Maison Mirabeau Rosé Station. There will also be a series of botanical tents, London's Chelsea Embankment and plenty of new names from the drinks industry ensuring guests have the perfect beverage to pair with their plates. 

Live cooking demonstations will be delivered by the likes of Thomas Straker, MasterChef finalist Philli Armitage-Matten and Hopper's Karan Gokani.
