Emerald Hospitality Group to launch Riviera next month
Emerald Hospitality Group – parent company of the three London hotspots El Norte, Zuaya and Como Garden – is set to launch Riviera, a restaurant inspired by southern france, in Mayfair on 21 April.
Taking over the famous Sake no Hana site on St James’s Street, the opening of the group’s fourth concept follows an extensive refurbishment of the building.
Diners will find the main restaurant on the first floor, which has space for 120 covers and an open plan kitchen.
The ground floor will house Riviera’s bar and lounge, which will open on 11 May and have capacity for 60 covers.
An additional 54-cover outdoor terrace and al fresco lounge area will launch in June.

The refurbishment has taken over 16 months to complete and has been carried out by interior designer Lazaro Rosa Violan Studio, who has designed such sites as Amazonico and Soho House. The Riviera site has been transformed from a traditional Japanese setting to a luxurious restaurant reminiscent of the south of France.
Arian and Alberto Zandi, co-founders of Emerald Hospitality Group, comment: "This is a very exciting brand for Emerald Hospitality Group. We have a deep appreciation for the south of France, a region that celebrates life, honouring friends and family reunions, artisanal fine art and superb food. Riviera is set to represent and embody the luxurious lifestyle found in the south of France, in a unique London location."
