Buster's Hamburgers to land in Brixton

A brand-new concept from the founders of neighbourhood restaurant Ploussard and cult fried chicken outfit Other Side Fried is set to land in Brixton later this month.

Created by hospitality partners Matt Harris and Tommy Kempton, Buster's Hamburgers will be located just a minute's walk from Brixton Underground station. Taking over the Other Side Fried (OSF) site on Atlantic Road, the opening will see the duo go from poultry to prime cuts, giving one of London's iconic railway arches a brand-new fit-out. OSF will continue to operate as a delivery-only brand.

The concept

Buster's, which originally debuted to friends and family during the pandemic, will offer a streamlined menu focusing on flavour, simplicity and quality ingredients.

Guests will be able to choose the hamburger, featuring a wagyu beef patty, green peppercorn dijonnaise and a buttered potato roll. Other options will include the cheeseburger – a wagyu beef patty topped with American cheese, green peppercorn dijonnaise and a buttered potato roll; the Buster burger – a wagyu beef patty topped with Buster's signature sauce in a buttered potato roll; with French fries available as a side and chocolate mousse with caramel sauce for dessert.

All burgers will be cooked medium and served in potato rolls that are made on-site. In recognition of the site's former offering, the menu will also feature an OSF-inspired chicken fat mayo, all offered alongside cocktails and locally brewed beers.

The interior will feature wood panelling and neutral tones, mirroring the design of its sister restaurant and wine bar Ploussard.

"Buster's feels like a confident progression from OSF, and building on our recent success with Ploussard," says Kempton. "It's been an exciting journey, and we can't wait to share this next chapter with Brixton and beyond."
