Goose + Berry and Liberty announce new restaurant
British dining and event catering specialist Goose + Berry will open its first stand-alone dining destination, Seventy Five at Liberty – a new joint venture.
The restaurant will open on 8 April on the second floor of the Regent Street store.
Launching in line with Liberty’s 150th anniversary, Seventy Five takes its name from the year it was founded: 1875. The 1,800 sq ft, 84-cover venue will operate seven days a week, offering brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and early suppers, as well as private evening event hire.
Bold Liberty prints and layered fabrics in warm colour palettes of burgundy, pinks and green adorn the dining environment, a reflection of the aesthetic found throughout the store.
Dining at Seventy Five
Head chef Joe Holness, whose background includes Fera at Claridge’s and Da Terra, has crafted a sharing-style menu. The fare takes its cues from modern British cuisine, celebrating fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally and sustainably, including herbs and honey from Goose + Berry’s own hives.
All-day small and large plates include goat’s cheese and almond croquettes, torched mackerel with pickled carrot and chervil sauce, Swaledale chicken breast with salsify and thyme, and British Hampshire pork chop with fresh herb salsa verde.
Desserts such as chocolate mousse with preserved cherries will also be available. In addition, Seventy Five will offer a very British afternoon tea from head pastry chef Lizzie Ross, paying homage to Liberty’s arts and crafts heritage.
Cocktails are inspired by the store’s signature LBTY fragrance collection. Creations are named after specific scents and incorporate key notes such as the Adelphi Sun, which blends jasmine with fresh and zesty grapefruit.
Hannah Martin, founder of Goose + Berry, comments: "Seventy Five marks an exciting milestone for Goose + Berry as our first restaurant venture. It was essential for us to create a concept that seamlessly integrates with Liberty’s heritage and customer experience. Liberty is an iconic British institution, and we are proud to bring our commitment to seasonal, high-quality British food to such an iconic setting."
