Lina Stores to launch new site in Canary Wharf

Lina Stores will open a new restaurant, delicatessen and Italian cocktail bar, Bar Lina, in London's Canary Wharf on 9 June.
Continuing to celebrate top-quality Italian produce, the 100-cover Canary Wharf restaurant will open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Dining at Lina Stores
The menu, led by head chef Masha Rener, will begin with antipasti including fried ricotta and herb gnudi with chilli marmelleta and tuna crudo with capers, pink peppercorn and salsa verde.
Fresh, homemade pasta will remain the highlight of the restaurant experience, with Lina Stores’ favourites, like 30-egg yolk taglioni with black truffle and Parmigiano Reggiano and casarecce alla calabrese with prawns and Calabrian chilli making an appearance.
Secondi, heartier main dishes, will include the chicken Milanese with Amalfi lemon and the grilled hispi cabbage with agrodolce, chilli, pine nuts and capers, while dolci will include guest favourites such as Lina Stores’ classic tiramisù and signature Sicilian cannolo filled with ricotta, pistachio and chocolate.
The delicatessen
The ground floor will house an open-plan delicatessen inspired by the original Lina Stores branch on Soho’s Brewer Street. Open from breakfast through to evening, the day will begin with Italian breakfast sandwiches such as pancetta, mozzarella and eggs on focaccia, or smoked salmoriglio and ricotta on focaccia, enjoyed alongside strong Italian coffee.
For those seeking a quick lunch on the move, the delicatessen will offer salads including fusilli with artichoke, truffle mushroom and semi-secchi tomatoes and tuna, green beans, egg and Tropea onion, alongside a number of freshly made focaccia panini.
Sweet offerings will include pistachio-filled bombolini and orange and polenta cake. The delicatessen is bordered by timber shelves, piled high with the very best Italian pantry essentials and products from the Lina Stores Collection.
Bar Lina
The adjacent Bar Lina will offer a selection of traditional serves and creative twists on Italian classics, created by head bartender Matteo Pesce.
Bar Lina’s monochromatic, glossy, dark red colour scheme will transport guests to 1970s Italy, with a backlit onyx bar illuminating the space. Seating 76, the bar will be open from aperitivo hour and continue into the night.
Chef Rener comments: “We are very excited to bring the full Lina Stores experience to Canary Wharf – from takeaway salads, panini, breakfast and coffee from our delicatessen, to a leisurely dinner at our restaurant and late-night drinks at Bar Lina. Canary Wharf is a hub for some of the best restaurants in London and we feel that Lina Stores will be in great company.”
