New dining experience coming to Ekstedt at The Yard

Westminster's open-fire restaurant, Ekstedt at The Yard, is allowing diners to experience a condensed version of the Scandinavian tasting menu for the first time.
Crafted by acclaimed Swedish chef Niklas Ekstedt, the new Taste of Scandinavia experience offers three dishes for £59 per person, available Tuesdays and Wednesdays for guests seated between 6pm and 7pm.
Set within the five-star Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Ekstedt at The Yard's new menu brings some of its most celebrated dishes to the table at a more approachable price.
The menu
First, guests can enjoy the flambadou oyster with beurre blanc – an experience made memorable by a visit to the kitchen to witness the theatrical preparation over open flames. The menu evolves with the seasons, featuring highlights such as hay-smoked lamb with sea buckthorn and mint and, for dessert, diners can indulge in Ekstedt's wood oven-baked cep mushroom soufflé, served with woodruff and fresh blueberries. All is served alongside complimentary homemade bread and salted butter.
Those looking to further elevate the experience can add a volcanic wine pairing created by head sommelier, Klearchos Kanellakis. The three-glass selection showcases a range of rare and characterful wines that complement the smokiness of the open-fire cooking for an additional £35.
