Ramsay to open cooking academy in Riyadh
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is set to open the first Gordon Ramsay Academy outside of the UK, partnering with Alkhaleej Training & Education to introduce the expertise of chef Gordon Ramsay to Saudi Arabia for the first time.
Scheduled to open in Riyadh’s up-and-coming Narjis View Mall in 2025, The Gordon Ramsay Academy will offer a range of specialised culinary programmes for all levels, from kitchen novices to seasoned chefs. The programmes offer a multitude of diplomas and short courses, from British classics to Asian favourites, as well as dedicated bakery and confectionery training.
Global growth
The new establishment will mark the chef’s third Gordon Ramsay Academy venture, following the September 2021 debut of the flagship site in Woking, UK, and the launch of Gordon Ramsay x Hexclad Academy on the 58th floor of 22 Bishopsgate in London in February 2025. The Woking flagship now delivers prestigious Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) accredited courses, which will also be introduced in Riyadh.
Ramsay says of the upcoming launch: “Opening our first Gordon Ramsay Academy in Woking in 2021 was a dream come true. Supporting the next generation of chefs, be it home cooks or professional chefs, is a huge passion of mine, and to have the chance to partner with Alkhaleej Training & Education to open this exciting new Academy in Riyadh is incredible. I truly believe that you never stop learning and I can’t wait to share my experiences from around the world and bring an exceptional level of training to."
