Ria's to bring Detroit-style pizza to Soho

Detroit-style pizzeria and natural wine bar Ria's is set to open a second site in November.

Building on the success of the Notting Hill original, Ria's Soho is a natural next step for co-founders Ria and David Morgan-Ratcliffe. This new spot builds on everything that made the first a hit, with the addition of an exclusive Soho site and an intimate wine cave.

The 38-cover site spans two floors, with some additional outdoor seating and an open-service kitchen located on the ground floor. Downstairs, the wine cave offers an intimate space nestled among dough mixers and bags of Cotswold flour. Aged oak, a marble-topped table and wine racks complete the look.

The pizza

At the heart of the menu is Ria's signature deep-pan, square-cut Detroit-style pizza, available by the 'pie' or by the slice. Favourites from Notting Hill will carry over, joined by a new Soho-only slice.

Guests can expect thick, fluffy crusts and home-baked comfort, all made with 72-hour fermented dough for Ria's signature crisp-chewy texture.

The drinks

A selection of natural wines will be available by the glass or bottle. Diners can enjoy chillable reds, juicy oranges and pink pétnats from small, independent producers. The drinks offering also includes bottled beer and a concise cocktail list

"We've taken everything we've learned, refined it and built something that feels like a confident evolution of the brand," says co-owner Ria. "Expect the same signature style, energy and experience – just with a bit more polish. We've grown, learned and fine-tuned, and this new site reflects this evolution."
