New deli, wine bar and bistro coming to Shoreditch
A new deli, wine bar and bistro is set to join the dining scene in Shoreditch on 17 October.
From the team behind The Farrier in Camden, Clara's will focus on warm hospitality, artisanal produce and seasonal cooking.
By day
Clara's will open from 8am as a neighbourhood deli and café. Speciality coffee will be served alongside pastries and bread, as well as a daily selection of house-made cakes and seasonal bakes.
At lunchtime, the counter will fill with freshly baked buns, focaccia and a daily changing salad box menu.
The deli will be open daily until 7pm, offering top-quality European ingredients, including freshly sliced charcuterie and cheeses, butchery cuts, tinned fish and artisanal Mediterranean staples.
By night
From Wednesday through to Sunday, Clara's dims the lights at night to become a 45-seat wine bar and dining room. Saturday and Sunday lunch service will also run, making it an all-day dining destination at weekends.
The Mediterranean-inspired menu, led by head chef Elie Fourcroy (formerly of Artusi, awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand this year), will include oysters, rillettes and bruschetta con tomate.
Signature dishes such as Conejo en Salmorejo (rabbit braised with pimentón, herbs and Tenerife red wine vinegar), Manchego Fritto (a fusion of Spanish manchego and French panisse batter, fried until golden and topped with Italian Parmesan) and Clara's Salad Niçoise (evolving with the seasons, with variations such as confit duck, pickled beetroot and broad beans as autumn sets in).
The wine programme will lean toward low-intervention and artisanal producers across the UK and Europe.
