Ramen legend to open restaurant in London
Internationally renowned ramen master and subject of Chef's Table on Netflix, Ivan Orkin, will open his first UK restaurant on 19 November.
Ivan Ramen, a concept that started in Tokyo and soon branched out to New York, is set to land in London at 98 Farringdon Road.
After the sell-out success of his 2023 London pop-up, Orkin's new Farringdon restaurant is bound to be a standout addition to the London dining scene.
The opening has been made possible by a partnership with UK growth platform Sessions. It marks the first step in the brand's plans to launch multiple locations across the country.
Dining at Ivan Ramen London
In the intimate 26-seater space, diners can expect a range of cult classic dishes such as tonkotsu, chicken paitan, spicy miso ramen and Ivan's kara-age chicken.
Joining the line-up is a brand-new creation for London: the salt beef bao, inspired by the flavours of a classic East End bagel, filled with warm salt beef, pickled cucumbers and fiery karashi mustard mayo. All items will be available for both dine-in and delivery.
"Tokyo, New York... and now London!" says Orkin. "What an incredible honour to share our food in three of the world's most iconic cities. London isn't just a world-class restaurant destination; it is home to one of the most exciting ramen scenes anywhere. I've always loved this city, and I'm beyond thrilled to finally be a part of it."
Dan Warne, CEO and founder of Sessions, adds: "Bringing Ivan Ramen – created by one of the world's most celebrated ramen chefs – to the UK is a milestone for Sessions. Showcasing Ivan's globally acclaimed ramen alongside our growing portfolio of original brands reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class food to new audiences."
