Osip launches private dining room and Signature Menu

A Michelin-starred restaurant in Bruton has launched its first private dining room and introduced a new Signature Menu.

The private dining room at Osip, partner brand of hospitality group Smith & Willis (LUCA, The Loft), is housed within a restored 17th-century coaching inn and accommodates up to 12 guests.

A pared-back colour palette and crisp white table cloths allow the food to take centre stage, while the walls are adorned with carefully selected contemporary artwork.

Bespoke drink pairings are available to those in the private dining room. Options range from the Classic, featuring house favourites, to the Grand, an elevated experience beginning with Champagne or a seasonal cocktail on arrival, followed by curated wine pairings and a digestif and cocktail trolley to conclude the meal.

The space is attended by dedicated waiting staff and, for those wishing to bring bottles from their own collection, the beverage team provides a full wine service.

Signature style

Chef Merlin Labron-Johnson leads the kitchen at Osip, with his new Signature Menu designed to showcase some of the restaurant's most lauded dishes from over the years.

Available in both the main restaurant and private dining room, the Signature Menu unfolds as a journey through the landscapes of Somerset and the South West. Dishes include Cornish lobster with pumpkin satay, Thai basil and citrus; the Osip taco; and the Osip game pithivier – layers of quail and venison encased in golden pastry.
