Tigermilk to launch second site in Shoreditch

Following its UK debut on London's Tottenham Court Road, restaurant brand Tigermilk will launch its second venue in England this April, unveiling a 280-seat flagship in Spitalfields.

With multiple restaurants across France and Belgium, Spitalfields will be Tigermilk's 13th opening since 2019.

Founded by Nina and Alexis Melikov, the group is known for its distinctive take on the "Latin American brasserie".

The Spitalfields site will have 230 seats indoors, a 50-cover terrace and a space conceived as "a fully realised hacienda", unfolding room by room.

Guests enter through a courtyard before passing through a sequence of spaces, from the main dining room to an orangery seating over 80 guests, while above it all a six-metre-high bar rises as the centrepiece of the restaurant, overlooking the courtyard below and stocking over 2,000 bottles.

The food features cochinita pibil tacos, ceviches and large-format dishes built for sharing, alongside desserts such as maracuyá tiramisu and dulce de leche cheesecake.

The bar has more than 250 tequilas and mezcals, and a cocktail list.

“We see Tigermilk as the Latin American answer to the European brasserie,” say the Melikovs. “With Spitalfields, we wanted to go further, bigger, louder and more alive, while keeping what matters most: generosity, atmosphere and a place people come back to without thinking twice.”
