Beckford Group readies restaurant with rooms
Pub operator the Beckford Group will open its first restaurant with rooms this July.
Corsham House is opening in the market town of Corsham on the Wiltshire/Cotswold border.
Sat on Corsham high street, the newest venue from the Beckord Group is a British brasserie with 11 bedrooms upstairs.
The downstairs will feature a bar area with counter seats, and the menu will build on the success of the Bib Gourmand-holding Beckford Bottle Shop in Bath. The main brasserie at Corsham House will seat around 80 covers in total, including a small courtyard to the rear of the property for outdoor dining.
In addition, there will be a second Beckford Bottle Shop, selling some of the team’s favourite wines from their original shop in Bath. The wine shop space will also feature a small dining area.
Chef James Harris will lead the kitchen, having spent the last six years as head chef of the Beckford Bottle Shop in Bath. Harris will move away from the small plates concept in Bath and focus on a more traditional menu format with a British brasserie focus.
The reopening marks the beginning of a busy year of growth for the group, as it plans to unveil a total of four new properties, including Teffont House in the Nadder Valley and two new inns.
The business is led by founders Dan Brod, Charlie Luxton and Matt Greenlees (pictured).
