Bow Street reacts to VAT reduction on kids' meals
Bow Street Group plc, the owner and operator of Wildwood and dim t restaurants, has announced a series of summer menu price changes for families, following the government’s temporary reduction in VAT on children’s meals.
From 25 June to 1 September 2026, Wildwood’s Kids Menu, which is available for children under 12, will be reduced from £7.95 to £6.95 across all of its restaurants.
The business says the reduction passes the VAT benefit on to families in full.
For the first time, on the same date, Wildwood is also introducing a dedicated 'teenager menu', offering a curated selection of full portion main dishes at a discounted price. The new menu has been created to provide older children and teenagers more choice while sharing the benefit of the reduced VAT with Wildwood customers.
What about dim t?
At dim t, Bow Street's Asian-inspired restaurant brand, the price of its Kids' Menu will also be reduced from £8.95 to £7.85 across all three restaurants, reflecting the VAT benefit in full.
"Since we joined the business in September 2025, we have commenced and completed a number of strategic initiatives to drive Wildwood and dim t's customer proposition," says David Page, executive chairman of Bow Street Group.
"The launch of our reduced Kids' Menus at Wildwood and dim t as well as introduction The Ragazzi Club marks the latest steps in this journey to strengthen Wildwood and dim t's customer experience, with a particular focus on menu structure, choice and value for families during the important summer trading months while passing on the VAT benefits to our customers."
