French operators to open Sloane Square brasserie
La Nouvelle Garde, the French restaurant business founded by Charles Perez and Victor Dubillot, will open Brasserie Olivia in Sloane Square this week.
Opening on 9 July, Brasserie Olivia is a Parisian brasserie that serves home-style cooking. The arrival in Chelsea marks the first international outpost for the La Nouvelle Garde business.
Brasserie Olivia joins the group's nine other restaurants across France, including Bordeaux, Lille, Marseille, Lyon and Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Downstairs, guests will find the restaurant’s speakeasy bar, Venus Bar. Warm oak panelling and vinyl will fill the room. Guests will be invited to select their own music to play on the turntables.
"We established La Nouvelle Garde for one reason, to preserve the French art de vivre and bring a new golden age to the traditional brasseries everyone is used to," says Perez. "We’re so excited to be bringing this to London with Brasserie Olivia and look forward to introducing our cuisine to everyone."
