Trenchers to open on Lake Windermere
Fish and chip restaurant brand Trenchers will open its Bowness-on-Windermere site on Saturday 11 July.
The opening marks a new milestone for the Trenchers brand, as its first restaurant outside of the North East and its original home in Whitby.
The new 100-seat restaurant will open seven days a week from 11.30am until 9pm, serving an anticipated 600 guests each day. A takeaway service will also be available throughout the same hours.
“Trenchers is so much more than your average chippy,” says general manager Craig Ripley. “Guests can, of course, enjoy our famous fish and chips, but there's plenty more to discover as our menu is designed to suit every appetite and occasion."
“Alongside your fish and chip favourites, diners can also enjoy dishes including Greek salad, prawn cocktail, fish pie and house burgers. To finish, there are indulgent desserts such as cheesecake, chocolate fudge cake and our own take on the Cumbrian classic, sticky toffee pudding.”
The menu also features gluten-free options, vegan burgers and vegan sausages, and a dedicated Little Skippers Menu for younger diners.
