The Imperial's Arcus reveals opening team

The head chef and bar manager of a new rooftop bar and restaurant in central London have been revealed.

Arcus, which will open at The Imperial hotel in Bloomsbury next month, will be led by head chef Abismael Urena Castillo (previously of Le Gavroche, Wagtail and Madison) and bar manager Floriano Cubeddu (previously of CÉ LA VI and The Goring).

Across a collection of small plates, signature dishes include Heritage Heritage Pork Loin with rosemary, pesto and black olives; Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with Honeycrisp apple and Campari gel; and Breaded Aubergine with green olive dressing and aioli.

"The launch of Arcus has presented a rare opportunity to build something distinctive from the ground up, working with the team to create a fresh identity that will become a beacon of Bloomsbury," says Castillo. "Sweeping views, exceptional food, creative cocktails and outstanding service will all come together to create one of the city’s most memorable rooftop spaces."

Arcus joins previously announced F&B partnership in Bancone, which can be found on the ground floor of the hotel.

"As someone who’s spent over 15 years in some of London’s most revered hospitality venues, the experience and offer we’ve created at Arcus is unique and feels fresh within the capital," adds Cubeddu. "Our goal is to serve bold and innovative drinks that delight guests and go hand-in-hand with the cultural legacy of the neighbourhood we call home."
