Jason Atherton brings Tuscany to Chelsea
Jason and Irha Atherton’s Three Darlings restaurant in Chelsea has introduced a new culinary direction, taking inspiration from the couple's newest offer in Tuscany.
The menu at Three Darlings bistro has been 'cross-pollinated' with MARIAS, the Atherton's newly launched coastal destination at Principessa Forte dei Marmi, Autograph Collection, in northern Tuscany.
While MARIAS celebrates local ingredients under the guidance of executive chef Giorgio Cicero, Three Darlings will serve as its UK counterpart.
The seasonal menu opens with beef tartare, dressed with a peppercorn sauce and paprika crisps, followed by Cornish bluefin tuna served raw with thinly sliced tomatoes and tomato confiture.
St Austell Bay mussels and clams arrive cooked over embers in a garlic smoked mussel emulsion, while the Italian peach and avocado salad, finished with aged pecorino, also features. A fish special of Red Cornish sea bream comes plated with saffron potato and bouillabaisse.
Three Darlings is named in tribute to the Atherton's three daughters Keziah, Jemimah and Athena.
