Bleecker to open in Camden

Two-time National Burger Awards winner Bleecker Burger is opening its first restaurant in north London.

The newest location for the burger brand will be at 45-46 Middle Yard, Camden Lock Place, right in the heart of Camden Lock Market. It is set to open this summer.

"I am currently on site in Camden Lock Market, building our 10th Bleecker," says Zan Kaufman, MD and founder of Bleecker. "I'm still feeling the same butterflies I felt at Old Spitalfields 11 years ago when we opened our first site. So much is the same, like our food and menu, but much has changed and developed, as we have brought new people into the team and worked towards our vision of an equal world where Bleecker is the best burger."

Bleecker still remains fully independent as a business, with no outside investors. Every new site, including Camden, is self-funded.

Alongside the new restaurant, Bleecker Camden will also launch a new North London delivery zone, extending delivery for the first time to Kentish Town, Tufnell Park, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Hampstead, Highgate, Archway, Holloway and Arsenal.

"Camden opens in late summer," adds Kaufman. "We are looking forward to welcoming our old customers and some new ones too. I am proud that we have remained independent as we have expanded."
