Hyde & Seek brings in new exec head chef

Hyde & Seek, the Tribute Portfolio Hotel in London's Hyde Park, has announced the appointment of Ranjitkumar Sukumaran as executive head chef.

The news comes ahead of the hotel's opening in September 2026.

Sukumaran will develop the culinary vision behind the hotel's two new dining concepts, Seekers Restaurant & Bar and HydeOut.

He joins following four years at The Londoner, having previously held senior culinary roles at Corinthia London, Royal Garden Hotel, Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Wentbridge House Hotel.

"Hyde & Seek captured my imagination from the very beginning, not only because of its remarkable location overlooking Hyde Park, but because of the rare opportunity to help shape a completely new dining destination from day one," says Sukumaran. "My vision is to create food that reflects both the heritage of British cuisine and the vibrant multicultural influences that define Bayswater today, using the best seasonal ingredients to deliver dishes that feel familiar, but with a contemporary Hyde & Seek twist."

£42m in the making

Following the £42m transformation of the former Corus Hotel Hyde Park, Hyde & Seek will debut two distinctive food and beverage concepts.

Seekers Restaurant & Bar is a 138-seat contemporary British restaurant overlooking Hyde Park, which will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea within an eclectic, design-led setting. The restaurant will also feature a speakeasy-inspired bar.

Alongside Seekers, HydeOut will be an 88-seat all-day café lounge and co-working space, offering everything from morning coffee and casual dining to meetings and evening drinks, set beneath a glass-roofed courtyard.

Located at 1 Lancaster Gate, Hyde & Seek is a 309-room hotel.
