Top chefs join One Planet Plate campaign

Raymond Blanc, Asma Khan and Thomasina Miers are among a group of internationally revered chefs who have joined the Sustainable Restaurant Association's (SRA) campaign, One Planet Plate, presented by HSBC.

One Planet Plate seeks to shine a light on sustainable offerings on restaurant menus across the UK, showcasing dishes that are planet positive.

The high-profile chefs' restaurants – Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Darjeeling Express and Wahaca – are just a small sample of the 2,000 participating venues offering a 'One Planet Plate' on their menu.

Launching in the UK and Singapore, the initiative aims to serve five million more sustainable meals this year. To participate and submit a dish, chefs can visit oneplanetoneplate.org.

Raymond Blanc OBE, president of the SRA and chef patron of Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, comments: "What we eat has such a huge impact on our precious planet. The next time you eat out, use the fantastic One Planet Plate website to find hundreds of truly delicious dishes to enjoy that won't cost the earth. We only have one planet, so every dish that we serve in our restaurants must be designed to respect and protect it. Our future depends on it."
