Wagamama to launch at Teesside Park

A brand-new Wagamama restaurant will open in Stockton's Teesside Park on 4 December, serving classic, Korean-inspired brand favourites such as chicken katsu and ramen on a 50% plant-based menu.

The Teesside Park outpost will be among the first to serve Wagamama's latest menu, including the concept's first-ever hot pots, featuring either chicken, steak or tofu in a spicy broth with seasonal vegetables and tteokbokki. K-dogs, the Korean street food favourite, will also be offered, made with a vegan twist and a crunchy noodle crumb.

Other items include the gochujang rice bowls and mushroom skewers coated in sweet chilli and miso glaze. A range of new desserts will also be available, such as the new doughnut-choux pastry hybrid 'chouxnuts', with a choice of sweet matcha or kurumitsu black honey custard fillings.

The Stockton branch will offer 126 indoor covers and an additional 26 outdoors. Open seven days a week, the venue will create 70 new jobs and bring Wagamama's UK estate to a total of 159 restaurants.

"We are so excited to open the doors to our brand-new restaurant in Teesside," says Milly Pearson, regional marketing manager for the north. "Our benches will soon be welcoming the local community and visitors to the shopping destination and we can't wait to serve up our newest menu launch and fresh favourites!"
