The culinary county has once again been highlighted as it secures a total of 16 Michelin Stars across 13 restaurants, solidifying its position as a global epicentre for gastronomic excellence. This accolade includes 15 coveted Michelin Stars and one Michelin Green Star, further cementing the county's reputation as a premier destination for discerning food enthusiasts.

This recent achievement propels Cumbria's standing as the county with the highest number of Michelin-starred restaurants per capita outside of London. The addition of Cedar Tree Restaurant at Farlam Hall and Lake Road Kitchen Ambleside to the esteemed list of Michelin-starred establishments in the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2024 underscores the region's commitment to culinary innovation and excellence.
