Fantomas selects Sloane Stanley for new restaurant

The Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Fantomas, the new gastronomic concept from George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev, is set to open on London's King’s Road this summer.

The restaurant will be headed up by chef Chris Denney, adding another renowned and award-winning name to the borough of Chelsea.

Fantomas will occupy a prominent corner unit at 300 King’s Road, taking a 2,000 sq ft space with up to 80 covers inside and out. The restaurant will serve Modern European cuisine incorporating elements of Asian flavours, particularly Japanese, and will offer an extensive wine list and seasonal cocktails for guests. It is set to launch in early July.

An 'innovative and precise culinary experience'

Bukhov-Weinstein and Demichev, the duo behind several successful restaurants such as Wild Tavern, Beast, Belvedere and most recently, Lita Bistro, are collaborating with Chris Denney on this concept, bringing innovative and precise culinary experience. Drawing inspiration from his travels, Denney will skilfully blend modern culinary techniques while emphasising seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

Bukhov-Weinstein comments: "Following the success of concepts such as Wild Tavern and Belvedere, we understand the market and know the kinds of concepts that will thrive in Chelsea. Sloane Stanley have presented us with a prime spot on King’s Road that will not only serve as a core part to the estate and the community, but will attract visitors from all over. We are excited to work with chef Chris Denney and bring this concept to life. It will be an amazing new experience for our guests."

Fantomas will join the recently opened Josephine by Claude Bosi on Fulham Road, as well as Beaufort House and Bluebird on King’s Road, creating a cluster of high-quality, premium restaurant offers within the community.
