Plant Based World Expo moves to October

Plant Based World, the 100% plant-based exhibition and conference originally set to return to New York and launch in London this summer, has been postponed and will now take place 15-16 October 2021 at London’s Business Design Centre.

The organisers say that the additional months will prove crucial for delivery of a safe show, accommodating the government’s target to vaccinate all adults by the end of July.

Visitors will be able to taste products, ask questions, meet new contacts and gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of introducing plant-based foods into a business. Brands who have already signed up to attend include major household names such as Iceland, Aldi, Waitrose, Co-Op, Starbucks, Nando’s and Hello Fresh.

"The move is welcomed and supported by everyone in the plant-based sector and the wider food industry," says Jonathan Morley, managing director of Plant Based Global, which organises the event.

"The new show dates will allow millions more people to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and only builds further anticipation for the in-person events we all miss so much, which will showcase the latest and greatest plant-based products.

“We all want to reconnect in person with our suppliers, buyers, guests, investors, friends and colleagues and meet new contacts. To be able to do that with confidence, and have respect for everyone’s safety, is paramount.”
