D&D London strengthens leadership team

D&D London – an operator with a 45-strong restaurant portfolio across the capital – has announced three new appointments to its senior leadership team. 

Michael Clark will take on the role of operations director for the group, joined by two new recruitments for the South Place Hotel, with Michael James Parker standing as the venue's new general manager, while Cynthia Coomb will take over as food and beverage director. 

Clark celebrates his return to the group with his new position, having launched his career as restaurant manager at Coq d'Argent before going on to become general manager at Sartoria, then Le Pont de la Tour. Clark will draw on his experience at Sketch and Swan at The Globe, and most recently as operations director for The Ivy Collection. 

South Place Hotel, D&D London's first hotel – located between Moorgate and Liverpool Street – will now be overseen by Parker. With a career spanning almost three decades, Parker brings extensive knowledge from his time working in hotel operations and management across the UK, China and Southeast Asia. His roles have included new openings, project rebrands and market repositioning. He joins South Place Hotel from his managing director role at Rosewood Phnom Penh. 

Coomb brings 20 years' experience in the hotel industry to her role at South Place Hotel. Having established her career in Surrey, where she served as general manager and owner of several hotels including The Westerly, Reigate, and The Pendleton, St Johns. More recently, Coomb worked as restaurant general manager at Wolfgang Puck's CUT at 45 Park Lane, before moving to The Rosewood London as general manager of Holborn Dining Room, Gin Bar, Pie Room and Macallan Terrace.
