Giacco's opens in Finsbury Park

Giacco’s, a new neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar specialising in coffee, small plates and low intervention wine has opened on Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park.

The 20-cover venue, located a few minutes’ walk from Finsbury Park station, takes inspiration from owner Leonardo Leoncini’s Italian roots – half from Florence and half from Trento – focusing on low-intervention wines, charcuterie and cheese from small producers in Italy. The name itself is a nod to Leonardo’s grandfather's nickname, Giacco. As well as savoury plates, Giacco’s has small batches of homemade Gelato and features cups of Terrone & co. coffee on its menu.

By night, Giacco’s will offer a seasonal menu of small plates including fresh pasta designed to be shared, alongside a low-intervention wine list, working with suppliers such as Tutto Wines, Les Caves De Pyrene, Vine Trai, Ancestral Wines and Gergovie Wines.

Guests can expect small plates such as artichoke hearts, anchovy fillets, burrata, balame cacciatore, capocollo di martina franca, mortadella con pistachio and pecorino toscano.

Designed by Leoncini himself, the main restaurant houses 20-covers in total, complete with a cosy vinyl section with two Celestion Ditton hifi vintage speakers.
