Comptoir Group appoints finance director
The owner and operator of a Lebanese-inspired restaurant chain has announced the appointment of James Fisher as its new finance director.
Comptoir Group, which oversees the Comptoir Libanais brand, has also added Fisher as a member of its board.
Fisher brings more than a decade of experience in senior financial roles across the consumer and hospitality sectors. Since September 2020, he held the role of finance director at Wahaca, having served as financial controller between 2018 and 2020. Before that, he was senior finance manager at BT and the group reporting manager at Inchcape.
Senior leadership team appointments
Fisher's appointment finalises the restructure of the group's senior leadership team, following the appointment of Travis Fish as operations director and Dominika Kurowska as people director.

Most recently, Fish was managing director of Ballie Ballerson, the cocktail bar operator, and was the co-founder of Middle Eastern QSR brand Bababoom before that. He has previous experience at Nando's and Mitchells & Butlers.
Kurowska has most recently been consulting for hospitality brands, having previously held senior roles with contract caterers CH&Co and Harbour & Jones.
Nick Ayerst, CEO of Comptoir Group, comments: "We are excited to welcome James, Travis and Dominika to the Comptoir Group and look forward to benefitting from their experience and sector expertise. This is a key time for Comptoir with both franchise and equity restaurant openings, and we are confident that these three senior appointments will help lead the business into the next phase of growth. We know there is strong demand for our brand of Lebanese, Middle Eastern and North African food and we are on a mission to further grow this market, serving our great food and hospitality one dish at a time."
