Martin Williams steps down as Rare Restaurants CEO

Gaucho and its holding company, Rare Restaurants, have announced that CEO Martin Williams will step down from his position, with a new CEO to be appointed in early 2025.

The group has opened five new Gaucho branches during his tenure, on top of experiencing strong growth in sales. Gaucho and its sister brand, M, have also recently been named among the Top 100 Places to Work in the UK, with Gaucho also earning a two-star accreditation from the Sustainable Restaurant Association

"We are all excited about a busy two months ahead, with very strong international rugby and Christmas bookings across the group, both of which are well up on last year," says a spokesperson for the group. "By popular demand, we are also bringing back our now legendary £30 Legacy menu for one month only in November, continuing the celebration of Gaucho's 30th anniversary. The executive management team and the shareholders are looking forward to a strong finish to 2024."
