D&D partners with Friends of the Elderly

Restaurant group D&D London has partnered with Friends of the Elderly to raise vital funds for the charity's grant service, which helps older people stay warm and well during the cold winter months.

As part of the initiative, an Invisible Soup will be available on menus at D&D London venues, where all guests can donate to the cause during their visit. While no physical soup will be served, every donation will go directly to Friends of the Elderly, supporting essential services for those in need.

The funds will provide practical assistance, such as winter clothing, bedding, heating support, boiler repairs, cookers and home improvements like draft-proofing, damp-proofing and roofing repairs. These efforts aim to ensure vulnerable individuals have the resources to stay warm and safe throughout the winter.

Grace Harvey, senior brand and communications manager at D&D, comments: "Winter can be especially tough for older people, with many struggling to afford food or heat their homes due to the loss of the winter fuel payment, rising energy costs and increasing council tax. Our Invisible Soup initiative with Friends of the Elderly allows us and our guests to make a meaningful difference, helping vulnerable people stay warm and cared for throughout these cold months."
