Augusto will bring taste of Turin to Chester

A new pizzeria is coming to Chester in February, bringing the taste of Turin's Neapolitan-style pizzas to the city.

Husband-and-wife duo and owners of Michelin plate-holding Italian restaurant Da Noi on Bridge Street, chef Valentina Aviotti and Fabrizio Gobbato, saw the potential for bringing their own pizza concept, Augusto Pizzeria, to Chester's ever-growing independent food scene.

Located on Northgate Street, the restaurant's authentic Italian recipes will use fresh ingredients and local produce where possible. A selection of 'gourmet' creations will be offered alongside classic pizzas, with plans to launch a wine pairing menu in the coming months.

"We are thrilled to finally announce the news that we are launching Augusto Pizzeria in Chester. It has been a long time in the making and the concept is something we are so proud of," says Gobbato.

"It's no secret that Neapolitan pizzas are the most delicious style of pizzas in the world but with this, we're hoping to bring something extra special to the city, including recipes that people may not have tried before, in a venue that allows people to sit, relax and enjoy the true taste of Italy."

Pizza preparation will be visible to guests, adding to the authentic feel of the venue. Customers will be able to either take their pizza away or sit and eat in banquette-style seating, spread across two floors.

Gobbato adds: "Chester's food and drink scene is going from strength to strength and we feel Augusto will be a welcome addition to the fantastic range of veues in the Northgate area of the city, fitting in perfectly with the buzz that surrounds it."

Augusto marks the couple's first steps towards the establishment of an entire Italian family of brands. The group, called 'Nutmeg', already includes Da Noi and Augusto, with extensive plans for expansion in 2022 and beyond.
