Wagamama set to reopen Aberdeen restaurant

Wagamama's Aberdeen restaurant is gearing up to reopen on 3 December, following the completion of a refurbishment and extension project. 

Located on Union Square, the extension has created an additional 80 covers, just in time to welcome Christmas shoppers for lunch and dinner over the festive period. The refurbishment also creates an additional 20 new jobs for the local workforce. 

The Restaurant Group-owned brand is known for its signature katsu and ramen dishes, as well as for providing 50% plant-based options. The relaunched Aberdeen site will feature the new Korean-inspired menu featuring hot pots with chicken, steak or tofu; and K-dogs, made with a vegan twist and crunchy noodle crumb. Other items include the gochujang rice bowls, mushroom skewers and 'chouxnuts'.

Milly Pearson, regional marketing manager for the North, comments: "We are so excited to open the doors to our bigger and better restaurant in Aberdeen. Our benches will soon be welcoming the local community and visitors to Union Square's shopping destination, and we can't wait to serve up some of our fresh favourites to all."
